Passion for people, places and properties has been my truism since beginning my career in real estate. Prior to joining The Blackwell Group, I spent time building my skills in residential sales as a solo agent to which I was recognized as a “Rising Star” for my hard work and creativity in the industry. However, I’ve uncovered that there is strength in numbers and made the switch to be part of the team here at Davenport Realty.
Previous to real estate, I worked in schools supporting students with diverse learning challenges and special needs and since I come from the education field, I am always happy to explain the reasoning behind certain methods and strategies so that clients are comfortable and making well-informed decisions.
I’d like to say I’m a multi-passionate soul. I am a devoted cat-mom of three, fitness enthusiast who loves writing, photography, travel, and perfecting my ukulele skills. I am also active in my community and support the Canadian Mental Health Association and the local food bank. I’m always seeking ways to give back. As Muhammad Ali said, “service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.

Raquel Blackwell

Being in the Real Estate industry for 23 years has been an amazing experience and I enjoy it more than ever. At the beginning of my career; I focused on new homes and have since transitioned to Resale. With the knowledge I have garnered it would be a pleasure to assist you with the purchase of a resale or a new home. Representing a new home builder is still in my repertoire of services.
On a personal note, I am happy to say I married my best friend. My husband was born and raised in Cambridge and swears he’ll never leave. After living in the Cambridge area for over 30 years myself, I understand why. In those 30 years, Cambridge has seen a lot of changes, but I still feel such a sense of community here. This is what inspires me to be an active member of the Rotary Club.
People are my passion; that’s why I feel so lucky to have a career in real estate. It’s my job to really get to know people so I can help them find their dream home in a neighbourhood they fall in love with.
My passion for people is also what keeps me heavily involved in community organizations. Besides the Rotary Club, I have also had the pleasure of working with some great causes such as the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Breast Cancer Society, the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation, and Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

Being in the Real Estate industry since 2014, I have learned a lot from Raquel as my mentor. I have gained so much experience in a short amount of time while ensuring I provide the best care for all my clients. Since moving to Cambridge in 2009 from Oakville, it is a city that I am proud to call home.
On a personal note I live in Cambridge with my fiancé Kyle, and we both have a very strong love for animals. A donation is made from each of my sales to the Kitchener & District Humane Society. I have the pleasure of owning three amazing dogs, Layla, Eddie and Archer, and two beautiful cats name Bowie and Ozzy, whom I spend every minute with when I am not in the office or on the road. I attended the University of Waterloo earning a Bachelors in Social Development Studies and have really been able to apply this while working with people on a daily basis. I have learned a lot about compassion, sympathy and patience which I believe to be a critical part of this job. With 10 years of customer service experience, my passion for people in the real estate industry has made me who I am and why I continuously love helping people find their dream home.

The switch to becoming a realtor from a career in Media was one of the best decisions I’ve made to date. My happy place is definitely at the cottage! I love to swim in the lake, going tubing, and act like a kid again! I am also a huge dog lover. If I could adopt every dog in the world I would. I am a pretty big foodie. I really enjoy trying out new recipes, restaurants, and exploring different dishes from all over the world.

I’ve been supporting real estate agents since 2016 and working with The Blackwell Group is by far the most fulfilling. The team puts so much value on every process to deliver only the best for our clients and I’m so grateful to be part of it.
I live with my partner whom I’ve known since 4th Grade with our 9 beautiful Cocker Spaniels. Yes, 9! When I’m not on my computer working with the team, you sure can find me in the backyard playing, bathing, or grooming the dogs, if not, I’m in the kitchen where I usually make my own mess or on the road on weekends but this has been limited because of the pandemic.
